I’ve announced an art challenge a few days ago and I thought it’d be nice to have a bit more background information about the trees and wreaths that I’ve been sharing online lately.
In my detailed work I often add trees and flowery type of plants, especially in my Nature Bot paintings. It goes naturally and it’s an easy way for me to fill up backgrounds. The thing is, I have never done a proper study on nature elements and because I work on automatic pilot, I’ve no clear idea of what brush strokes I use or what brushes for that matter. To understand my own process a bit better, I decided to start sketching and trying out new techniques while keeping track of what I did.
