You know that saying, "get up on the wrong side of the bed"? Well, I get out of bed with one leg in a magical world. That...just gave me an odd visual. But more importantly! You are someone that is secretly (or not so secretly!) in touch with your inner-child and you are looking for ways to incorporate magic into your life.
The name is TJ and I'm an Artist and Illustrator for people who live in magical worlds and need art & designs in their life to make their homes and special events that much more unique.
I have made it my mission to make your life prettier by designing ridiculously cute and fun illustrations that you can stare at in your every day life. Through my use of colors, imagination, rambles and sharing of knowledge I'm here to help, remind and inspire you to connect with your inner-kid again and bring beautiful and colorful designs into this world — while making it all feel like gloriously enchanting (and sparkly).
My artwork and illustrations have found their Forever Homes all over the world and adoring fans + customers have described the work as “a blast of sunshine", “expressively sweet with a sense of childhood playfulness" and like a "deep, cleansing, empowering breath of impossibly-fresh air."
Gotta tell you, when I'm when I'm not sprinkling around with magical colors, you can totally find me indulging in watching animation, reading and creating my own stories, making a mess in the kitchen also known as baking and then taking pretty food photos. This is a must. Oh! I also like to wear the occasional superhero outfit or two.
But enought about me! This site is alive for YOU. Yes. This site is alive because I am here to help you have more happiness and magic in your life.
I've been very fortunate to have worked with many individuals all over the world. Next to custom artwork, I illustrated two card games (Elevenses and Matcha) and a children's book (Lighting up the World). The happiness that I can give back by just creating art and connecting with fellow creatives and customers, is incredibly exciting and humbling. The love and magic that I get back from happy souls all over the world is...I can't even put it into words. You can get a glimpse if you read the testimonial slide on my homepage.
By hiring me, you can be sure that you'll have an amazing art piece, that it's a fun creative process that you'll have a magical forever keepsake in your hands. as I will do everything to create a magical design for you. I completely understand the importance of having beauty, fun & happiness around you.

If you want to read a bit more about me, by all means keep on reading
and you will find a Artist FAQ and some random facts about me!
Artist FAQ - Most asked questions about me and my art.
No. I didn’t. I’ve always had a pull towards drawing, but I never really focused on doing more with it. Throughout the years, I alternated between reading, writing and drawing. I have a degree in Human Resources and I studied Sociology for my masters degree, but I never finished my thesis as I decided to take the plunge and be an artist.
2.What materials do you use?
The sketching phase is often done with mechanical pencils. My paintings are almost always done with watercolors. Depending on the piece, I outline my art with black lines and this is done with Unipin pens. I also branched out to using gouache and inks.
3.Do you sell your art?
Yes. A lot of the art you see on Instagram is for sale unless I specifically say it's not. I have a selection of original artwork in my Etsy store. I also have a few paintings turned into printables. So this means that for a low price you have a digital high quality file of my painting. You can print it out yourself and this saves in shipping and a general high price.
I don’t sell prints just yet. Reason is that I don’t have a proper printer, but also I don’t want to turn every art piece in a print as up till my recent work, I wasn’t too pleased with it. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my art, but not for a stock of prints.
4.Are you represented by an agency?
No. But I am leaning towards reaching out to a few agencies and see how that works out.
5.What are you working on now?
I’m working on commissions, a few collaborations and my first picture book! The latter, you guys...*contains fear & excitement* The working title is, “The Adventures of Nature Bot”. You can see concept art when you browse the tag on Instagram. I’ll announce more about this soon.
I also always work on smaller personal projects. I do this because I feel that you always have to push yourself as an artist and not wait till projects fall into your lap. And since you are your own boss, you have to be disciplined enough to test out new techniques and illustrations ideas without someone giving you an assignment. I’m basically always twirling around in my imagination. You should totally twirl around with me on Instagram! (This one is updated the most frequently.)
6. Where do you work/live?
I'm based in The Netherlands and I have a pretty cool little workspace in my home (which I'm constantly re-arranging). But! Have you heard of the project, Illustratour, done by Sara Gelfgren? If not, do have a look. She did a personal project to travel to six cities in six months (staying for one month in each). Traveling is something I love to do, so after I've sorted through some current matters, I will work on making this happen. Of course I'll take you all with me! Just the thought of traveling to new places and be based there for like two months make me so excited (and nervous...hehe).
